Adding Remote Data Sources

You can use your data located in Google BigQuery or Amazon Redshift from the dEngage platform. Please follow the instructions below in order to create and use your data located in remote sources.

Prerequisites
  • Create a Remote Source from the Web UI to configure and connect your Google BigQuery or Amazon Redshift account with D.engage.
  • Create an Automated Data Job to import data from a remote data source by building an SQL query.

Adding Google BigQuery as a Remote Data Source
  1. Go to Settings > Remote Sources
  2. Click Add and Select Google BigQuery
  3. Paste your Key Json to the text editor


Adding Amazon Redshift as a Remote Data Source
  1. Go to Settings > Remote Sources
  2. Click Add and Select Amazon Redshift
  3. Fill out the form and enter your Amazon Redshift credentials



Importing Data from your Remote Data Sources

Once you have created and configured Google BigQuery or Amazon Redshift to your account, you can use Automated Jobs from the web UI in order to import your data from these remote sources.

  1. Go to Data Space > Automated Jobs 
  2. Click Add to create a new job
  3. Drag and drop the "Audience Builder" or "Data Builder" node to import your data
  4. Select the "Create from Remote Source" option
  5. Import data from the selected Remote Source by building an SQL query
  6. Click "Validate and Preview" once you have built your query
