Improvements to "Send Tracking" Reports

Reporting is the compass that guides your customer engagement: reports help you pinpoint your strengths and bring light into areas that needs to be reevaluated. For this reason we have made some improvements to our existing Email, SMS and Push message reports.


Click on the Numbers in the Summary pages for each channel in order to view the list of contacts.




Email Send Tracking Report

Send Overview - Tags Added

Select Analytics > Tracking > Email Sends and select a sent email to view the updated reporting page.

The first section of the reporting page gives you a brief summary of the Sent Email including the Status, From Address, Scheduled Date and more. We have also added the related "Tags" that were included during message creation.

Message Content Preview is also available as a Thumbnail on the left top side of the reporting page.



Reporting Tab Changes

Each tab in the reporting page covers different areas:

  • Summary - Old "Activity" tab gives a summarized view of the report
  • Domain Distribution 
  • Click Report - Old "Link" tab
  • Heat Map
  • Browsers and Devices - Old "Email Clients" tab


Summary Tab

The old "Activity" page has been renamed and redesigned. We have also added more information in the new version.

The top area summarizes the email stats. Each metric in this area gives you a different piece of information about the performance of your email.



Click on the Numbers to view the list of contacts.


Total Sent
This is the number of emails which were sent out from dEngage mail servers. This includes all the emails delivered as well as bounced.
Unsent

Total number of excluded recipients from the targeted audience (exclusion filters + control group if applicable).

Click on "i" to view breakdown.

Delivered

The total number of email messages that were delivered successfully.

Delivery Rate
Percentage of the number of email messages that were delivered successfully.
Unique Opens
The total number of recipients who opened your email message. Contacts that have opened the same email message twice only count as one open.
Unique Open Rate

The percentage of the recipients who opened one of your email messages. Contacts that have opened the same email message twice only count as one open.

(Total unique opens / Total sent) * 100

Unique Clicks
The number of recipients who opened and clicked a link in the email campaign. Contacts that have clicked more than one link in the same email campaign only count as one click.
Unique Click Rate

The percentage of the recipients who opened and clicked a link in the email campaign. Contacts that have clicked more than one link in the same email campaign only count as one click.

(Total unique clicks / total sent) * 100

Bounces

The number of recipients who did not receive the email message as intended because it bounced. This can be either a soft bounce or a hard bounce.

Click on "i" next to the title to view a breakdown by Bounce type.

Bounce Rate
The percentage of recipients who did not receive the email message as intended because it bounced. This can be either a soft bounce or a hard bounce.
Hard Bounce
These emails could not be delivered because the email address does not exist (or has been deleted).
Soft Bounce

These emails could not be delivered because of temporary problems, such as:

    • Mailbox of the recipient is full.
    • Mistyped email addresses.
    • Recipient email server is down or offline.

Complaints


Unsubscribes + Spam Complaints

The number of recipients who have unsubscribed from the email by clicking the Unsubscribe link in the email message + The number of recipients who marked this email as spam or junk in their email client. 

Click on "i" next to the title to view a breakdown by Complaint type.


Opens by Device



Distribution of Opens by Device (Mobile Phone, Table or Desktop). Unknown devices are calculated as "Unknown". Please check the "Browsers and Devices" tab for more information.




Email Send Performance


Click to Open Ratio (CTOR) compares the number of unique clicks and unique opens. This ratio indicates how effective the email message performed and if the content created a level of interest by the recipient to click-through.








Top Browser and Devices

The last section is a summary of "Browsers and Devices" tab and shows the top performing ones for the email message.





SMS Send Tracking Report
