On-site

D·engage enables you to create dynamic On-site Notifications, to control their appearance  visibility as per your needs.

You can take advantage of build-in templates to have notifications up and running for all desktop and mobile users within minutes! You can also choose to make custom notifications from scratch by adding your code and details to deliver highly tailored web experiences.

Below are the steps on how to use On-site Notifications:
  1. Select On-site under Content>Marketing from the left menu bar.

  2. Clicks “Add” option placed on the top right , then click “New On-site Content”.

  3. Depending on your preference, you can either choose the ready to use template in the "Visual Editor" or create custom HTML from "HTML Editor". 

Visual Editor:

Step 1: Select a Layout

After selecting Visual Editor, you will be able to see various layout options.

Basic Sticky Bar
A responsive layout shown at the top of the user's mobile/desktop screen. It displays the message with a prominent icon. We recommend this for announcing new products/features/content.

CTA Image Popup: 
A customizable box notification that can be positioned in any corner of your user's screen. It displays a background image alongside a CTA button. We recommend it for a variety of use cases including, product/feature/content promotions, as well as for engaging users with contextual offers, cross- and up-sells.

Horizontal Popup
A rich media notification that displays the message along with an image and two CTA buttons. It is recommended for general use across your site.

Image Bar: 
A rich media notification that displays a prominent banner image on the top of your user's screen. We recommend it for engaging users with visually enticing ads, offers and  product announcements.

Sticky Bar: 
A responsive layout shown either at the top or bottom of the user's mobile/desktop screen. It displays the message with an image, prominent icon and CTA. We recommend this for engaging users with  offers and messages on varying sections like Purchase, Custom Care, User Profile, Order Tracking and so on. 

Vertical Popup
A customizable page blocker that displays the message along with an image and two CTA buttons. We recommend it for exit-intent targeting, conveying important reminders and so on. 

Step 2: Configure Content Details
This section enables you to customize the notification's title, message, images, call-to-action and appearance.

2.1 General
For every layout, the user will first have to enter name and specify a folder, then press next button to provide content details.


2.2 Content 
The elements that can be customization depends on the layout selected at Step 1.

Basic Sticky Bar

  1. Position: By default, Basic Sticky Bar Notifications are displayed to the top of the user's screen. You can change this setting and have the notification on the bottom of the webpage. You can also keep the message position fixed on page scroll by clicking on the check box.

  2.  Add a relevant title: You can add title. You can also personalize this field as per contact information by add customization. And details are previewed in the “Preview Area'' also.

  3. Create your message under DescriptionYou can choose to add rich text as an HTML/CSS code or simply add plain text to the message. By default “Message” option is enabled, you can also “disable” it. 

  4. Target link: Add the link to which you'd like to direct users when they click in the “Source URL" field.

  5.  Open in new tab and Close options: “Open in new tab” and “Close” options are enabled by default. You can disable these options according to your needs.

  6. Styles: Other than basic settings, you can choose font, padding and many more options from “Styles” tab. 

  7. Test and preview: Test, save and cancel options are also shown on top right bar of page. By clicking “Cancel” option user will redirected to main page of “On-site”.
  8. Test option:  By clicking the “Test” option, a new popup window will be shown including various options. User can also click on “Mobile Web” to view in “Mobile View" area also.

  9. See on your website: By clicking on option “See on Website”, new popup window will be opened having choice of choosing website with“On Home Page” (selected by default) and “On Different URL”.

  10. On Home page: User needs to select a website from the list and click “Go To Your Website”. Then the website shows preview of selected content.

  11. On different URL:    If the user chooses “On Different URL” then enters some valid url of the website and clicks “Go To Website" link, then content will be displayed on above mentioned web address.

  12. Send onsite message option: By clicking the “Send Onsite Message” option, a new popup window is shown for sending options. User can choose any option for sending either choose “Predefined Audience”, or choose “Type-in Contact Key” for sending content to the concerned address by clicking the “Send Test On-site” button.  
  1. Show another option: By clicking “Show Another” option same content will appear again. By clicking the “Ok” option popup wll be closed.
  1. Save option: Now click the “Save” option and the notification shows “On-site content saved successfully”.
  1. Other options: Now other options are also shown. User can choose all new options as well. 
  1. More options: By clicking “More” option three options are shown as “Save as Template”, "Create Campaign” and “Duplicate Template”. 
  1. Back option: By clicking “Back Option from Browser” user is redirected to the main folder where content is saved successfully.

CTA image popup


  1. Width: By default, width is 400 but a user can customize this option as well. 
  2. Dismiss on click outside: “Dismiss on Click Outside” option is disabled by default. 
  3. New image uploading:  User can add an image either by choosing already saved images in folders, or by providing a valid image URL.
  4. Primary Button option: User can change “primary button text and link".
  5. Secondary Button option: By default the “secondary button” option is disabled. Once a user enables “secondary button option” then he/she will be able to add secondary button text and link.
  6. Open in new tab and close options: “Open in New Tab” and “Close Button” options are enabled by default. You can disable these options according to your needs.

  7. Styles: Other than basic settings, you can choose font, padding and many more options from “Styles” tab.

Edit Saved Layout



  1. To Edit a saved layout, user can select Edit option from the On-Site.
  2. Once a saved layout is selected the user can use the following options:
    1. Edit name of the layout.
    2. Test
    3. Update
    4. Delete 
    5. More

            ●       By clicking the “More”, three options are shown “save as template”, "create campaign” and “duplicate             template”.
            

  1. Save as Template: By clicking “save as template” user can save the settings applied to a layout and utilize them for creating more layouts. The saved template, will be listed under Saved Template tab on Select a Layout screen.
  2. Duplicate Template: User can duplicated an already existing template and update the name to create a new template.
  3. Create Campaign: When user clicks “Create Campaign”, he/she will be redirected to campaign creation page for On-Site.


       Name and Tags: User can enter the name in “Campaign Name” and choose the “Tags” option also from selection area.


       Select Send time: By default the “Send Now”. User can also schedule the campaign and send it later.


       Schedule Send: By clicking on the “Schedule Send” option, the time selection option appears. User can chose valid date and time duration.


       Priority: By default the “Medium” user can choose other options from the drop down .

  1. When to Display: User can select a specific page to display the popup. After selecting show on specific, there will be two options: 
    1. Screen Name Conditions
    2. Page Url Conditions 
  1. Dismiss Behavior: This option sets the number of time an end-user should view the popup. User can select to either show once or can set a time interval after which the popup should appear.
  2. Expire Date: User can set the expiration period.
  3. Target Audience: User can choose from segments or tables as target audience. This setting can be further managed by applying filters. For example, the user wants to target contacts whose “Contact Status'' equals to "Active".
  4.  Exclude, control group: User can also add details in “Exclude” or “control group” options. User can also “Calculate” the total number of contacts that are selected as target audience.
  5. See on your website: With this option a users can check how the popup will look on their a website. On the preview tab, if user selects "See On Your Website", a window will appear listing the website URLs. User can determine the page to display the pop up on as well.
  6. Send on site message: By clicking the “Send Onsite Message” option, a new popup window is shown for sending options. User can choose any option for sending either chosen "Predefined audience” or choose “Type-in Contact Key” for sending content to the relevant address by clicking the “send test on-site” button option.
  7. Send Settings: User can set Google Analytics settings on this page.
  8. Summary page: By clicking “Continue" option user is redirected to “Summary Page” where settings of previously selected options are already drawn. From here user can either “Publish” or “Save as Draft”.
  9. Status: Running status shown as with other options. This process takes some time. User can pause this action by clicking “Pause”. If clicks "Cancel” then campaign will be canceled and no further action performed.
  10. Hourly capping: If the user clicks on hourly capping then popup notification shows that “Hourly Capping" is applicable for  Email, MS and Push channels.
  11. View report: By clicking the “View Report” option, a new details page opens. That statistics shows all details about sent, dismiss, displayed and more details in pictorial format also. By clicking on any number from “Total Message”, “Displayed”, “Click”, and “Dismissed” details, new page is shown having relevant information.
