Basic:
The Shopify is a Canadian e-commerce company, which was founded in 2006 in Canada. It offers online retailers a suite of services including payments, marketing, shipping and customer engagement tools. In other words, it's a subscription-based software that allows anyone to set up an online shop and sell their products. The shops owners in the  Shopify are able to sell their products in physical locations, which is named Shopify POS - the point-of-sale app and accompanying hardware.
Shopify POS (Point of Sale) is an application that allows to sell the products offline. The end-user can sell products at a physical store, trade shows, pop-up shops, or other events in-person using Shopify POS. The payments can be accepted with iPhone, iPad, or Android using the POS app.
 In case the owner of the shop decides to customize his store build it from the scratch, the Shopify's APIs will be helpful to achieve this goals.

At the very beginning Shopify offers a free 14-day trial to test it out for yourself. During this period, the user allows to build their own online store, test out free Shopify apps, etc. Shopify’s pricing starts at $9 a month - Lite plan. However, most first-time store owners start on Shopify’s Basic plan at $29 a month. If the user has been running a business for quite some time, it will be beneficial to use the Advanced Shopify or Shopify Plus depending on the business needs.

1. Shopify Lite

Shopify Lite is an affordable plan that allows to sell products on an existing website. If the end-user has his own website that isn’t hosted on Shopify, the products can be sold with a 'Buy' button without Shopify’s hosting. It's also allowed to use Messenger chats, sell both online and offline, and send invoices on the $9 plan

2. Shopify Plus

Shopify Plus is Shopify’s enterprise ecommerce platform for larger businesses or businesses looking to scale. It offers advanced reporting features, higher priority customer support, capacity to handle higher order volumes, and more.

1. Detailed Admin panel

In the backend of your Shopify store, the user may find a whole range of reports and features that will be helpful to understand how the online store is performing. For example, you can find the best-performing product pages, watch a real-time view of the website visitors to see what stage in the funnel they’re in, etc.


2. Free Features

On Shopify, there are tons of free themes which are loaded onto store automatically, which allow to start customizing the shop depends on needs. It's really easy to use and doesn't require any deep knowledge. It's even allowed to choose free fonts or change up the color scheme, add own photos, and more. There are thousands of available ecommerce-themed stock photos, that the user can choose from taken by Shopify photographers and many more.


3. Shopify is on a Cloud Network

One of the main technical advantage of the Shopify is that the user's website will be hosted in Cloud-based platform. It prevents the unexpected crashes during the load, HW issues, what eventually can lead to loss of money.


4. Huge amount of Apps

There’s literally an app for almost everything in the Shopify App Store. The use will find countdown timers, image background removers, product sourcing apps and so much more.

5. Support

The Shopify created Shopify Academy (now referred to as Shopify Compass), where the user can take free ecommerce courses. There are even have Facebook Groups created by Shopify users who want to help new store owners succeed. The support ecosystem at Shopify is huge.
