Deliverability factors in your control


Here I will show to you, some factors that are in your control when you are sending email campaigns.
Some of them has a huge impact in your deliverability.




Quality of your contact list. 

If you have never sent any emails to your contacts, we suggest to use email verification tools, or implement an email verification when your customer try to create an account  in your app or website. People normally insert fake email adresses when they want to receive some benefits that requires some informations, and because of that, if you start trying sending to these fake emails, your sender reputation will start on the wrong way.
The ISPs will return your emails informing that email does not exist and this will bring your reputation to the ground.



The frequency and relevancy of your emails. 

If you send emails every day, ISPs will be stricter with you. And because of that you need personalize your contents and work with very complex segments (normally we suggest to work with events) This will have a big impact on engagement and thus deliverability.



The content and format of your messages.

Is good if your content avoid some spammy words, this is more valuable for senders with a poor reputation, but is always good to avoid such type of content.
Excess of links and images can also contribute for deliverability problems, try to use images and links as less as possible.



What determines sender reputation?

It's important to understand that it's normal to stay changing  between an "average" and "good" Reputation, if you have you are trying to engage new people or sending a huge campaign for no engaged custumers, this will lower you reputation a bit, this is totally normal in this business
Your sender reputation a combination of two metrics: domain reputation and IP reputation. These two has there unique reputation, but they both have a huge impact on deliverability.
